Three free skills that turn Claude into a print designer who checks the maths: investor teasers, annual reports and full magazines as print-ready PDFs, and financial results as a PDF, an animated reel and a web report from one data file. Every page is read back, and every number is traced to its source.

The three skills

pdf-builder

HTML/CSS → headless Chrome / Edge

Investor teasers, one-pagers, term-sheet summaries and short reports. Locks a design direction first, keeps every figure tied to a source, then measures the rendered PDF: trailing space, footer clearance, clipped legal text.

magazine-builder

Typst

Magazines, bookazines and annual/financial reports. Flow layout, so text can't overprint; contents pages that read their own page numbers; a 300-DPI read-back of every page before it ships.

finance-motion

Typst + Remotion + ECharts

One audited report.json becomes a print PDF, an animated results reel (4:5, 9:16, 16:9) and an interactive web report. It refuses data that doesn't foot, then reads every figure back from all three outputs.

Why it's different

  1. Design direction first. Typography, palette and composition are locked before any layout, so you don't get the same AI look on every document.
  2. One source of truth. Every figure traces to a named source, and conflicts between sources are shown to you, never silently resolved.
  3. It reads its own output. Page count, overprinting, footers, clipped text, contents-page numbers, totals that foot. Its own sample report failed these checks three times before it shipped, and that's the point. A local OCR pass (GLM-OCR, with a zoomed second read for chart labels) checks that what a reader sees matches the data.
